For some reason, people think plastic surgeons are magicians who can make any surgery through a laser beam “careless” incisions. This is not something bad, and keep the business going! But it can bring frustration and disappointment if the expectations are not set right from the start! Having scars post-op doesn’t necessarily correlate with the number of dollars you are being charged.

It depends on many factors; one is your surgeon’s skills and talent; others include your genes, type of surgery, nutrition, medications, post-operative healing course, and many other factors! I love to give my patient the best scar possible post-operatively, but to start with, I inform them that surgery means a scar.

So Plastic surgeons give you a ” SCAR LESS” result, not a “SCARLESS” one.
